This is the picture with the most points (Besides Snake's Auditions", but that won't get featured) that doesn't have a feature. >_> It deserves it.

This snapshot is actually the 2nd best without a feature, the first is this one, with over 100 points.

Yeah, I just edited my comment, since I noticed my mistake. Snake's Audtition probably won't get a feature though.

This shot, and "Snake's Auditions" are great examples of how a snapshot doesn't need to be featured to do well on this site.

I really want to see this featured, mainly to see where it goes with the feature. I think it has the potential to dethrone Surprise Lucario as the best shot on the site. It has 140 now and SL has... 293, I believe. I think that this shot could surpass SL points-wise, if given the chance.

I think it's pretty obvious Lightningboalt featured this just because he wanted to see how far it goes. This shot used to be one of the highest non featured shots, and now it's just not as special.

Damn the human race sure does have a knack for complaining. They want something, and when its finally given to them they turn their backs on the person who gave it to them. Seriously, this same thing probably would've happened if I had featured Snake's Auditions, you can deny it all you want but tons of people would've complained. I even remember a few people who somewhat recently rallied for it to be featured in the forums. Ask yourself, if Emu had featured it then (I wouldn't have), would you be complaining about justice being served in that situation?

Don't worry about me catering to what people want ever again Ploxman. I'm not really a fan of Snake's Auditions anyway (no offense Rupee).

I'm sure there's at least a few people out there who still wanted to see this featured, but they probably won't say anything about it. People will just continue to post negative crap and complaints. Now I'm beginning to see exactly WHY Nintendo doesn't often try to cater to fans, they'll complain about anything. Seriously, even MasterPPV complained about this being featured, and him being the nice guy he is he'll congratulate even the crappiest shot on being featured, whether he likes said shot or not. That's probably the complaint that stung the most.

The last thing on my mind here: this shot lost its charm from being featured? So what, the only good thing about this shot was the fact that it had lots of points with out being featured? Now it sucks, is that it? A good shot is a good shot, why being featured should affect something's true quality is beyond me. This wasn't even the highest unfeatured shot on the site anyway, if it was I wouldn't have featured it just for the unique factor.

Lightningboalt, let me put it like this. Say you lead an independent underground music band that becomes a nation-wide cult hit via word of mouth. Your band became cult popular without being featured on any nationwide media.

Then suddenly a record deal by a national recording company is offered and you accept. Suddenly you're no longer independent. You're a part of the mainstream.

I hope you get the analogy. Don't get me wrong, this shot is still awesome, but it also lost the uniqueness of being one of the highest rated non-features because of the feature today.

the way i see features, a snapshot that is featured should be a snapshot that many people like. so by glancing at the features snapshots, you will probably find many great ones that you will like; so it becomes a way to categorize snapshots. really, any snapshot with this many points should be featured since so many people like it.

I get the analogy Ngamer, but its coming from the side of the cult hit band's fans, not the band itself. The band WANTS to be mainstream because then they'll have more success and get the recognition they deserve. There'll be fans who want them to stay a cult band so that they feel special about being the only people to know about them and those who hope for the band to become a success.

The first group is being selfish, caring more about their hopes for the band then the band's dreams, all so that they can enjoy them more while others never hear about them.

Keep your discussion in the forums please, this is supposed to be comments about the picture.

@Lightningboalt: I'm rather neutral about if a certain snapshot gets featured or not myself. Though it is an honor when your best snapshots do get a feature.

Photoshopped shots are frowned upon here. Only some very special cases get through and get fame.

Case in point: the OBJECTION! pokemon trainer.

^It depends on how well-done or convincing those shopped shots are. If every image that is used in that one snapshot comes from a brawl snapshot, it's still considered a brawl snapshot.

Also, for hilarity's sake. But if someone puts a blatantly shopped snapshot and it isn't hilarious/amazing... Hmmm, I prefer hacked snapshots over shopped snapshots.

well I only photoshopped them so I could have my own version.
I'm actually somewhat of an expert with photoshop and I can guarantee that the pics wouldn't appear to be fakes unless I want them to (ie: samus doing her final smash with a shoop da whoop mouth on the end of the cannon).

^You keep destroying your own argument. AFAIK, those kind of snapshots are exactly the ones we don't want. They have to be blatantly fake to be awesome (it's weird to say it like this, but think about it).
