The first snapshot contest went so well that we decided to have a second one! The theme for this week is 'King of the Mountain'. The mountain can be physical or metaphorical. The contest ends Wednesday night / Thursday morning at 12am Central Daylight Time (UTC -5 hours). Snapshot contests will be held every week.

To submit a snapshot, upload it and tag it with 'contest 2'. You can also post snapshots here with BBCode. (Use [snapshot]url[/snapshot] where url is the link to your snapshot.)

The judging will be done by David, Ryan, and myself based on how well the snapshot fits the theme. Multiple submissions are allowed, but please submit only your best ones.

Have fun!

So is the final winners choosen based off points or how much the judges like it?

Good question. The number of points a snapshot has (from people who like it) isn't a fair measure, at least the way it currently works. People might like a snapshot for reasons other than because it fits the contest theme well. Points are also biased to snapshots that have been uploaded earlier. A user-judged contest similar to the shirt.woot derby might work, but we don't have any plans for that.

The winners are chosen based on how much the judges like the snapshot. However, snapshots with a high number of points (people who like them) might be examined more closely/be less likely to be overlooked.
